Yarrow Valley Park
We have strong links with Yarrow Valley Park and work in parnership with Chorley Council and their Rangers.
Frequent Saturdays throughout the year, we run a family conservation day called Nature is Us!
Come and join us for a fun filled morning from walks and feeding the ducks, to making bird boxes and bat watching. We have a fantastic timetable over the year, and the families who attend this activty just keep coming back. At the end of the session we always have hot soup or hot pot and bread and have a fantastic get together whilst we eat chat. This is community cohesion at its best.
We have recently linked into the health walkers at the visitor centre who walk every Thursday morning. The group is called "Find Your Feet" .
We are looking to introduce new skills to dads and mums by setting up sessions with the rangers on board walk making, step making small tree felling. Watch this space for opportunities in accessing these sort of skills. We will be putting a specific course on in the new year.
